An Enlightened Race

Excellent excerpt from the book by Caryl Matrisciana, titled Out of India: A true story about the New Age movement The one point I might differ with the author on is the danger isn’t only to the West, or the Church in the West/USA,  but to the world at large…especially the people of God. My impression is that even many within the body of Christ who have not fallen into the more obvious forms of apostasy are in grave danger also.

Hacks of Academe (How to stop hating, succeed in the modern university and get that PhD!)

Of the many socially necessary (but totally false) illusions of the epoch is the idea that succeeding generations are getting progressively smarter through a miracle of modern educational planning. This illusion is particularly prolific amongst social planners, education bureaucrats, and young parents for whom in fact it seems to be a kind of conditio sine qua non of a despair-free existence

Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do: Paving the Way for MMA

Who are the most unstoppable fighters in the world of MMA today?  What are their styles?  What are their disciplines? One of those three questions are simple.  The other two, may prove more difficult to answer.  Who can be used as an example?  How about The Last Emperor, Rush, The Spider, maybe even The Prodigy.  Unstoppable may be an exaggeration, but this is a small group of elite fighters, who anyone, even world class fighters, have a serious problem defeating, or even competing with in so

Are people being prepared for the flatening of the world?

Friedman talks alot in his book how the world is flatening and how people are going to have to be better at what they do to get the job they want.  The question is are people being taught to deal with this.  If more is going to be expected out of people then people should be taught that during their education.  Schools should be pushing students harder and expecting more out of them just as the world will be.  I know the high school pretty much gave you your diploma.  You didn’t have to work to

A Year Abroad

Wow, hard to believe I’ve been away from the USA for a year now.  Thanks to everyone who recognized the 365th day was November 30!  Since so many new readers have joined along throughout the months, I thought I’d highlight a favorite experience from each country so far. The latest news is Brussels for Christmas, followed by a visit to Holland thereafter.  New Year’s Eve is still to be determined!
